  • A few years before this episode, there was one in which several members of the cast went with Luis to visit his relatives in New Mexico. Might someone be able and willing to upload this set of episodes?

  • @Smartboy8877: My friend sawing14s has those episodes, but doesn't usually take requests. If you can find someone else who's got them, you might have better luck... :)

  • I have 2 video questions:

1.) Has anyone seen the episode where Mr. Snuffleupagus' parents announce their separation?

2.) Has anyone seen videos with the sound of Mr. Snuffleupagus walking?

  • (1) That episode never made it past a test audience (it upset too many kids), so the only people who've seen it would have been part of that group. The separation itself never became part of Sesame Street's "canon", because of the failed test results.

    (2) I've got some older episodes which do include Snuffy's entrance/exit music...but I'd need a friend's permission to post the relevant clips.

  • Snuffleupagus sounds so much like TOM WAITS

  • WHEN I WAS LITTLE I COULDN'T SAY SNUFFELUPOGUS SO I CALLED HIM MR.SNUFFY

P.S. BIG BIRD AND MR.SNUFFY ARE THE TWO MOST AWESOME FRIENDSHIP COMBO

  • @hoopersghost

    Thank you for the response!

  • he scares me! and still does!

  • Snuffy's fur is a lot more red now. It used to be really brown like in this video...

  • Aw, Snuffy misses his mom.

  • @lEMMEkNOWiT: The idea of a major character's family having that kind of problem bothered too many children in the test audience (even though Snuffy's mother, herself, was mentioned on the show more than used). Personally, I think that a divorce episode/story arc would have worked better with human characters, not Muppets: Sesame Street has used the same approach to teach about adoption, birth, marriage and death.

  • @Cuteblondie1972 : Well, this is a kids' show, and most kids are close to their mothers when they're young enough to watch this without looking weird. *blush*
