When the video first started, I thought the "44" was a pair of SS Thunderbolts. I was wondering when Nazism took over the Texas Two Step.

I agree that it is next to impossible. Where I go, there isn't even a 4x4 space. We are squeezed next to each other. Luckily the dynamic of the bar usually allows for a slight two-step to occur. Though dancing to "Purple Rain" and doing a very, very modified two step is interesting.

Beautiful lady and beautiful dancing. Did couples 42 & 44 mean to be doing the exact same routine?

Thanks! Yes, we were dancing the same routine. I was #44, and Debbie was #42, competing in a Pro-Am competition. Our partners were the "Pros", and they had developed that routine together. We didn't mean to do it that way, but by coincidence we ended up on the floor next to each other. It was a little strange to be dancing in unison like that, but it turned out just fine.

is this usually a slow dance? me and my friend are getting into ballroom classes and this is one of the ones they teach, so i was just wondering what this is like cuz i've never heard of it

Yes, this is for the kind of slow dance music where you'll usually see people out there just swaying back and forth together. The main problem is that it takes a lot of space on the floor. On a Saturday night in a crowded dance hall, it's hard to perform these patterns without bumping into everybody. I'll do this dance early in the evening while the floor is still open, because later on, when everyone is squeezing onto the floor, there's just no way.
