Again, a totally different sound, with the added bonus of some extra hp. :-)
Complete M3 exhaust (headers, Supersprint mid-pipes without cat, and M3 silencer.
The original exhaust was louder, but it had gotten really rusty and needed welding every 6 months.

  • how many hp did you gain ??

  • @wiktorpanaktuningfre should be about 20/25.

After this mod it was considerably faster than a friends 325i.

Never tested on the dyno however...

I sold it 6 months ago, and have a Alpina B3 3.3 now.

  • @beemer325 WOW 20-25 HP ?? was it because of the M3 headers or because of no cats?

i do also have a complete M3 exhaust system and M3 headers and i gained maybe 1 or 2 hp.

  • @wiktorpanaktuningfre You should win up to 4/5hp with the rear silencer alone???weird!!

The headers give the biggest difference, but the cat-delete alone should also give about 5hp.

@low rpm's mine was a lot slower than a Vanos-equiped 325i, and with the full M3 exhaust I could keep up, and @higher rpm (+4500) it was a lot faster than a Vanos 325i.

Maybe you should get your Air-flow-meter replaced. ;-)

  • @beemer325 "You should win up to 4/5hp with the rear silencer alone???weird!!"

dont exactly know what you mean...

but thank you for the information and the tipp with the Air-flow-meter.

  • @wiktorpanaktuningfre Well, you said you gained 1 or 2 hp with the entire system, when the rear silencer alone, should already give a 4 or 5hp gain. ;-)

It's hard to beat the e36M3 exhaust system, only Supersprint does it better.

  • even if the stock m3 exhaust makes the best horsepower gain, the stock mufflers on our e36's make the exhaust sound tinny and crappy.

  • I spent yesterday fitting the twin exhaust from my breaking 328 onto my 323i and it is so much better now than the single pipe, prob about 2 hp at the most but feels like it pulls so much easier now over 90 mph in 3rd gear!

  • @beemer325 Ohhh.. ok thank you for the info.

  • @je200sx Yes ;-) it's posted in the description btw ;-)
