I was reading The Universe in a nutshell by Stephen Hawking.

"I'm a bit of star trek fan myself, so I was easily persuaded to take part in an episode in which I played poker with Newton, Einstein and Commander Data. I beat them all, but unfortunately there was a red alert, so I never collected my winning."

Considering that he has an unfailing memory for which cards have been played, and his lightning calculations of which cards may be in the deck, mere mortals would find him too intimidating to play against. However, consider that his poker buddies include a woman who can telepathically read emotions and a man whose augmented vision allows him to see subtle changes that would also give away emotions, I think that he is well matched
