Given The Power Contributor, Marc Steiner, went to the Asbury Park Fire Department headquarters on Main Street and Asbury Ave on Thanksgiving where people were gathered to offer and enjoy a meal prepared and donated by a local restaurant. Subjects were asked to complete the sentence and thought, "if I was President, I'd..."

Full of feeling and philosophy, this is video of average Americans who were just given the power.

Just a sample of the footage shot that day, this video, was the first contribution to the project on the first national day of asking.

On July 4th 2009 GTP will launch www.GivenThePower.com, a national video survey site that will broadcast and allow upload of video responses.
