  • Awesome! I think I'm going to pick up the DVD.

  • e Brabgaene? Who is it?

  • Is this possibly the very last Tristan that is actually very good in ALL aspects - unspoilt by crazy, immature producers and an uneven, overstrained cast?

  • Meier is a wonderful Isolde, she even looks the part

  • @JeeRant sweetheart, every note of that music is the story of coming to orgasm, that is clear, and the minutes after; how he knew our ways (female) so well, I still have no idea, for he writes as intelligently as a woman.I think that many(the good ones -- many directors seems to feel they are in competition with music instead of opening understanding visually that resonates the music.)leave the music to describe the move by move..With productions that "get into" the sex of it, they seem too much

  • @JeeRant and who the hell cares about that!, Lol, I mean all the story is pure fiction. Wonderful music over a tale following the taste of the Romanticism period.

  • I've yet to see a production that makes it clear the Tristan and Isolde HAVE SEX during their Liebesnacht. All this chaste hand-holding takes away from the eroticism of Wagner's masterpiece...and don't tell me that T & I's love is purely spiritual, sexless, blah, blah, blah. They definitely do it.

  • @lhrlyc i love this opera
