Iowa Bow Hunting 2010

This is some footage I took during the Iowa bow season this year near Lockridge, IA. I managed to take a 11pt 41/2 year old buck on October 30th, 2010. He dressed out over 240lbs. He is grossing at approx. 135-140 inches.

My equipment included PSE Rogue X Bow @ 70lbs, Easton ST Axis Camo 400s with Blazer Vanes and Rage 3-blade 100gr. Slipcam Broadheads, Scentlok Full Season Suit in Realtree AP, and numerous scent attractants and scent prevention such as Special Golden Estrus and Scent Killer. I took this deer on private land that I leased out during the final weeks of October and beginning of November.

Thank you! I was kind of skeptic to wait until the morning because I didn't know how thick the coyotes were around this farm, but luckily, I made the right decision. Thanks for the comment and good hunting!

That's awesome man. Great job. I had the very same thing happen to me last year and wierdly enough my shot placement was far back into the liver almost exactly where yours was. I was the next day for me too. I know how you felt. I will send you a message with the video

Awesome buck. I think u made a wise decision to wait him out. I'll take my chances with coyotes vs jumping the deer any day. Let em lay.... You'll find em. Congrats on a job well done. ;)
