For me, the song is not about rising against authority. It's about questioning ourselves if we have the balls to do it and if it would be the best thing to do in the first place. That's why the chorus questions whether you'll bite the hand that feeds or not instead of just telling you to do it (which would be an incredible irony lol).

It's obviously about how one should never succumb to any kind of authority. Even though they get your silent consent because you have "freedom", safety and "everything you need", you should fucking bite the hand that feeds. We used to be human before modern society took control. Now our hearts are hollow, black and cold. We have the same shitty values as the Greeks 3000 years ago, and we have always had artists trying to tell us to question authority. They had Socrates and Plato, we have NIN.
