this is really good, but to hear this song in a faster tempo and sang by all guys, look at the vid of this song by the King's Singers. Amazing.

This hits it on so many levels - I first heard this during a "trip" in the late 60s...and this version captures the heart and soul of it. The original was from "Music of the High Renaissance in England". Does the group do "Hard by a Crystal Fountain"?

@huckleberryluvable oh wow thanks!
I'm not very good with roman mythology lol
My teacher also said this song was about
Queen Elizabeth and you just confirmed it for me :D
Thank you for your time :D

@weiming10 Latmos Hill was the hill in ancient Rome where Vesta's temple was located. Vesta was the Roman goddess of the hearth, and Diana, who is later mentioned in the song, was the Roman goddess of the hunt. Vesta was the Roman equivalent to the Greek goddess Hestia and Diana was the Roman equivalent to Artemis. At the end of the song, when the swain praise Orianna, who was the Roman goddess of the dawn. Orianna was referring to Queen Elizabeth, as her reign was a time of triumph in England.
