Either I'm over-analyzing or telling it like it is.

  • You missed the most blatantly racist scene!!

  • what made me search for racist moments and the thing that astonishes me that you missed is when the main bad guy says "enslavement" and then they cut straight to the black guy as if there expecting him to join after using the term slave idk how you missed that one but thats the one that clued me into some racist hints in this movie

  • "It's 2011. There's a black president, maybe they'll cut us some slack." That would be a relevant point if the film was set in 2011, but it isn't. It's set in 1962, before Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. The villain is a former Nazi, so of course he's going single out Darwin. The sexism towards the female characters is typical of the 1960s. If anything, the film is an accurate portrayal of the time in which it is set. Anyway, prejudice is the main issue of the film.

  • I have stopped watching to type this as I was just so pissed off, I needed to take an break and wanted to see if anybody saw what I saw. Thank-you.

I study film and drama the BS is so apparent to me.... I felt sick.

They need to get a clue.

  • Google/Youtube has censorship on certain code words, so if u have difficulty posting a comment its because BIG BROTHER is in effect. FYI

  • @cheyoumen That is exactly what I was saying but I knew the would kill him because in the posters he is not included. I think the movie should be called Xmen no class just like Mr.FuckHollywood has said.

  • THATS Y BATMAN BETTER

  • @scottlane7 his powers are awsome and his powers are powerful in the comics

  • You bring up the fact that he constantly reminding us that he adapts to "survive". Think you might be missing something? *Wink *Wink

Plus the movie was pretty negative toward women in general. Even with the credentials of both Frost and Moira, they're reminded that they're women.

(Shaw to Emma, "...this need ice. Go fetch me some. CIA head to Moira,"This is why women don't belong in the CIA)

I don't think it was sexism. It was just the fact that it was the 1960s.

  • @gambitman08 That's why Storm was the only one of the three original x-men to make it through all the original movies.
