what I love about the whiffle ball drill is that a lot of younger softball players that have a little bit of experience become very complacent in terms of working on the consistency of release. The whiffle ball really reinforces working on snapping and spinning the ball. I see a lot of younger pitchers who either spin the ball with out snap or do a half snap, if you will, and then have the "sticky ribs" as Rita would say. This drills really makes the girls snap into release and spin it!. LUV IT!
