@jeninow1 She was a breeder at a puppy mill that was shut down. I'm not sure from which state. I believe she came through Washington Animal League. People wanted to have her euthanized because they said that she "couldn't be reached" or "would take too much work". She's incredibly smart, very affectionate when she comes to trust you, and is so well behaved, except for the yappyness. Her new family will be very lucky to have her! Just a few minor health issues.
@captmicha Yes, time & patience in the correct environment and the mill dogs come around. I am glad you were able to provide that for her. Do you already know about the Puppy Mill Rescue Meetup Group? I do a free phone workshop with them.
I hope you'll post the next video on this soon. It's such a great, non-confrontational and pressure free way to teach the lying down command to fearful dogs. I tried the holding the treat on the ground method and not giving it up until she lied down but she got nervous because she didn't get the treat right away and my asking something of her was too much pressure so she retreated.
Angel now knows down! Thanks Jeni!

@captmicha That is great. Where did Angel come from originally? Did they give you a history or was it unknown?
