Scaring the kids at halloween 2

Halloween 2008 I set up a show for the night. Below the camera are 3 fake gravestones backlit by an eerie green light. Behind the gravestones is a smoke machine belching spooky fog.

I wrote some software to play back spooky music and wired the doorbell to a computer so that when it rang, a lightening crash played, the green light was turned off plunging all to darkenss and set off a strobe light to simulate lightening. The strobe does not show up very well on the video as the flash time is too short for the camera...but you get the idea!

On front garden (not visible, but to the far left) are three further gravestones.

What you see is lit by infra red light. It is pitch black (except for the green light) to humans!

I have a server PC running with a Hikvision DS-4016HSI 16 channel card. Camera is a hi-spec day/night vision I got off ebay with an infra red illuminator. All home made. Nothing professionally installed.
