Sonny Fortune was my first exposure to a live jazz concert. He came to Puerto Rico in 1976. I could not sleep all night, because I get over amazed with his energy. Alwas has been a fan of him since then. That song is a classic "bolero" ...Besame mucho.
Yeh Sonny, I love that cascading, overlapping stuff you play...and you got THE sound. I see Cecil McBee back there on bass who wouldnt remember me but he was a huge inspiration to me back in 1971 or so.
Sweet...so cool to see Sonny and Cecil working it out!
