The Kimberley is under threat and we need your help.

I have put together a series of still images and video highlighting the beauty of the Kimberley in far North Western Australia. The Kimberley is a true wilderness region and an iconic part of Australia.

Unfortunately this region is coming under threat of major industrialization through Gas plant, mining, and offshore drilling operations. The current Western Australian government in it's wisdom is poised to compulsorily acquire tracks of land along this coastline, against the wishes of the traditional owners, to set up a gas hub to feed the worlds requirements for gas.

Woodside, an American company will spend billions of dollars turning our countries icons into industrial wastelands and threaten the unique ecosystem of the Kimberley.

There are alternatives to a gas plant at James Price Point, one being to pipe the gas to Karratha which already has this operation. Once a precedent has been established the floodgates will open and the Kimberley as we know it will be lost forever.

Help stop this short sighted project in the name of big corporate profits. Lets keeps these areas untouched by mans pollutants.

If you wish to support the campaign to reverse the governments decision to steal this land please sign up to this petition. getup.org.au/campaign/Homelands&id=1386

  • Please help Mother Earth resist the brutal industrialisation of the Kimberleys...for the people of the Kimberleys and for our future. The Pilbara is destroyed and the people did not benefit....don't let it happen again!

  • Mike, I am organizing an event at CERES in Melbourne on Feb17th 2012 about the Kimberley campaign and the NT Intervention, an outdoor Blow Up Cinema screening. We are screening Our Generation and shorts about the Kimberley, live music and speakers.

I would like to run your film behind the speakers. It is very beautiful.Would that be possible? Is it possible to get a copy from you? We need it asap to organize a compilation dvd.

My email is juliealanbain@yahoo.I would love to hear from you. Julie
