Someone as egocentric and money obsessed as Howard cannot FATHOM the idea that the lifestyle he worships is pure madness so he ridicules anything that challenges his greedy and malevolent world view. He is brainwashed by the money and the fame. The vomit sound effects are a perfect analogy for what he's doing during this conversation. Peyote is not as intense, and is a different plant with different ingredients. You do tend to throw up, but you don't necessarily even hallucinate eating a normal amount.

@DGoose33 I think she was quite brave for attempting this. I don't think that taking ayahausca is neccessary to connect with your consciousness but it is another avenue. You are throwing the words like "idiotic" and "insane activity" without any real insight into the woman. I'd suggest stop judging and to look up the work of a man named Thomas Campbell.
