The Royal Caribbean sponsored shore excursion included the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Mosque of Mohammed of Ali, and a Nile River Luncheon cruise.
I most certainly would recommend this excursion. The Pyramids were spectular and the visit to the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali was very interesting. The Nile luncheon cruise provided an overview of Cairo that we enjoyed and the belly dancer was entertaining. The different variety of boats you will see on the Nile was interesting as well. The guide took orders for a cartouche with your name in Egyptian hieroglyphs that we picked later at the Papyrus Institute.
