  • I've been learning the guitar for something like 30 years...........; teaching the guitar for something like 17 years............. still amazed............ this guy is just.............. fuck knows........; this is Mr Larry Carlton

  • It was a long time before that happened!

This is a good track but check out Dokdude's other vid of Larry - the Emotions Wound Us So track from that particular LP is one of my all time favourite pieces of music. I'm a fan of shredders to Jazzers to Fusion players but Larry knows how to work a single note more than anyone (Beck comes close with Vai not far behind - oh and Eric Johnson....erm and lots of others actually!! lol) Anyway check the Emotions... vid! Thanks DokDude

  • @Dokdude Yeah, I believe all the "concert" excerpts on the Star Licks instructional tape were the recordings for the "Last Nite" CD (highly acclaimed) at the Baked Potato. As far as I know, the actual show hasn't been released. You can still get the CD, though.

  • What are they waiting for to dvd this spectacular concert

  • J.R Robinson on Drums !!

  • If you like this you must get the record, it is a superb recording (on vinyl that is)

  • Larry is the fucking man!

  • awww Larry, can't be beat!

  • Larry at his peak! Valley arts Stratocaster, what an instrument!

  • リズムが圧倒的に違う。

  • This has to be the best version of this piece, I have this on that starlicks video, which I found two days ago after not playing for 20 odd years, this is such a great version because it hasn't got him competing with a big band getting in the way, so you get to hear all the dynamics f his playing..the guy is coming to London in Oct, might just have to go and see him.

Shame this is only half version, althugh glad it cuts out when the awful sax pipes up.
