The Monk

This person puts the "discipline" in "discipleship." He believes that his success as a Christian is directly proportionate to his ability to separate himself from the world and from worldly things. To this end, he sequesters himself in a personal monastery, either physically or mentally, and focuses on developing a deep spirituality, believing that others will see this and be humbled and inspired by his devotion. In reality, he comes across as weird and disconnected because he has developed strange, ingrown theologies and an odd, religious vocabulary.
