Miyo in the Middle" is a dance/theater play, written and directed by Kimiko Guthrie, created with and performed by Dandelion Dancetheater. "Miyo" looks at the Japanese-American internment, issues for "hapa" (mixed race) children, adultery, betrayal, suicide and more.
The full work of 55 minutes, performed at Theater Artaud in 1998, was produced by Asian American Dance Performances in San Francisco and was also performed at Context Theater in NYC and the Palace Theater in Hilo, Hawaii.
This is Part II of the excerpts. We recommend watching Parts I and II back to back.
