I always thought it was such a shame that Cigar ended up proving out to be sterile in the breeding shed, and that he never got to pass his genes on to other offspring!! Coolmore-Ireland had the breeding rights to Cigar, with the understanding that Cigar would stay at their Coolmore-America facility. Just look at the dominance that Coolmore-Ireland has produced over the past decade with Galileo and Montjeu in their breeding shed. Imagine if they would've had Cigar prior to those two?? WOW!!

Wow, what a performance by Cigar! Most horses are passed in this pace scenario, especially down a three furlong stretch.
