Inventor makes game controller faster & easier

I made this contraption to help him. I am hoping to help others free of charge. I made many versions of the Avenger. Danny came into my life as I was working on this. The week of making the (Avenger type adapter for the PS3) he won his first game on line.

@Kuba022 Yeah re purposing a disabled kids video game aid for that much money seems fishy as heck, I agree there; production costs in china for that much plastic can't be more than $5-10

@oscarisnice Could be, but I still think there is something fishy about this whole business. Maybe it feels like a con to me because the Avenger is way overpriced. It's the same price as some of the top gaming controllers, but it's just a plastic shell.

@Kuba022 I don't know maybe the marketing of it is directed at general gamers not disabled ones whom comprise a smaller market. The prototype in this video is the xbox 360 one, the video with Danny is a ps3 one. The article is from march before the final version, and to be honest there were probably several prototypes. And is you look at the first 20 seconds of video in the other one he is using the prototype ps3 avenger so maybe you aren't looking at the right article

@oscarisnice Then why in some interviews, when asked about the origins of the idea, the inventor doesn't mention Danny at all? Why does the "prototype" look different in this video and different in the video with Danny? And why Danny doesn't actually use the Avenger controller?

@Kuba022 If you google 'Danny Lamarca is a student at Holmes Braddock' you will find an article on the cbs Miami website that has an interview with both the inventor and the disabled kid. It shows his stunted fingers and blistering skin in pretty convincing detail during the video. I suggest you be less cynical, the world is shit enough without perceiving false flaws

Also, here you say that you were "losing games like crazy", but in the other video you say that you were "always a great gamer". Which is it?

The prototype looks like they tried a bit too hard to make it look crappy. I don't buy the "touching story" for a second, and I don't believe it has the potential to turn crappy gamers into semi-decent ones.

Turns out the whole operation is a scam, both Ocean "Marketting"/"Stratagy" and even the original product. People like this disgust me.
