Uh-oh. Make sure Jordin Sparks is sitting down, cuz she's not gonna like this one. The Jonas Brothers--yes, all three at once--have denounced their purity rings as symbols of their chastity.

The U.K.'s Teen Now magazine (via Oh No They Didn't) asked the guys if they were going to stay virgins until they got married. "No," Nick Jonas, 16, said. "That was something that got taken out of hand and that we wanted to keep to ourselves." "Those rings are just to show that we have solid values in life," Joe, 19, said. "The media took things out of context," Kevin, 21, chimed in. This news is especially upsetting for their tween girl fanbase, who will now be forced to fight sexually lascivious competitors like groupies, cougars and Madonna for the Jonas Bros. attention.

Joe explained to Details last year that the rings are "promises to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage." "Pure," obviously, implies abstinence. It's not like they're gonna get married and start freebasing heroin. So doesn't it make you wonder what's happened in the last year to make them change their minds? It's possible they could only withstand underwear being thrown at them for so long and had to make some ethical compromises.

The Jonas Brothers were put on the spot at the MTV Video Music Awards when host Russell Brand joked that they were wasting their rock star allure. this isn't true at all, not that long ago, in Aug, I went to there show i had floor sets, and Joe wouldn't move, he stayed on the side of the stage i was on. Nick and Kevin came over as well, and all three of them had there rings on, when Joe touched my hand, it was there, he seen mine and smiled at me, so this is not true,

and people don't hate on me, I'm happy at what I want to do, Just like the Jonas brothers are happy with what they want to do,
