Video from roughly behind home plate of Houston Astros second baseman Craig Biggio getting his 3000th hit off Rockies pitcher Aaron Cook, June 28, 2007 at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The actual hit is at the 27 second point of the video. The rest is teammates coming to congratulate.
*note*--turn the volume down if don't want to me yelling in the background.

short-You really need to get out of the northeast and get to a game at MMP sometime. I've been to games pretty much every year at MMP since it opened in 2000. In key game situations, that crowd gets really f'ing loud. If you don't believe me, watch game four of the five-game series against Atlanta in 05 (the 18 inning game). Even when Houston was down 5 runs in the 8th, no one went anywhere (and they remained loud, too), and they were all rewarded when the Stros came back and won.

yeah i went to one of the playoff games vs atlanta and this was game the crowd was just as much into it.... haha i had someone elses season tickets and i didnt think biggio would 3, much less 5 hits that night.... ridiculous

If I were in charge of the Minute Maid Park sound system, I'd be playing the bee swarming noises much more often. It makes the place into a bee hive for opposing teams.

From the vids I saw, i didnt see the excitement I would have expected. I'm not taking anything away from it, but the crowds at a regular game I have been to (NYY and BOS) are louder. I can imagine when a guy hits a milestone like this.

short--that crowd rivaled the playoff crowds from 2004-05. definite playoff type atmosphere. not taking anything away from NE baseball fans, but MMP is a GREAT place to watch a game. you shouldnt take anything away from it because it doesn't get more attention than it deserves like Boston or NYY. i mean what makes Boston or NYY fan more passionate than a person who has been cheering for any other team their whole life?

Yea, it was LOUD! and if it was the loudest it has ever been then that's AMAZING because if i'm not mistaken, we were dubbed the noisiest stadium in the major leagues.

djshortsleeve..... check out some of the other videos with better audio and visual quality. It was effin loud as hell...... not a single person was in the urinal, buying a hot dog or walking around the concourse. Every person was screaming. F*ck yankee baseball.

i heard it was the loudest that stadium has ever been. if you call that weak cheering man, i'd love to see a video from a fan up north.

You dont get what I am saying. I know it was pretty big. I'm saying that the fans seem a little low key for how big it was; in this shot anyway. Fans up here are huge baseball fans.
