Big (ish) Climbing Dyno. ATTENTION INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS AND SMALL LABELS. Do you have a track that you would be prepared to license for specific use as a soundtrack by independent Youtube film-makers? If so, please make a video response to this video, with a declaration in the sidebar that you are the owner of the track and would be prepared to allow such use, royalty free. Promote your work Any type of music clip or sound effect is welcome. You may limit the use however you see fit, e.g. by having an expiry date, by requesting to see the finished product first, by giving permission on an individual basis etc. or you can just leave it up to the community to use as they choose. Cool. Simple enough idea.
And to all the climbers out there: I know this isnt a particularly big dyno. Im not pretending to be Chris Sharma. In fact, both these moves could be done statically by someone a few inches taller than me. Its just that the dynamic moves make for better television, right. This was filmed at my climbing wall near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga province, South Africa. I initially built it for myself to get some training in during work hours, but have recently opened it to the public. It was a home built project that started out with a few boards and then just got bigger seemingly all by itself. The venue is called Axis Extreme and is situated in Axis Industrial Park in Wilkens Street in Rocky Drift. Any climbers passing through the area are welcome to contact me on 013-758 1297 during office hours (which tend to be long if youre a property developer; also if you have a climbing wall at your office). More of a bouldering cave, really, about 5 metres high. Lots of high jump mattresses to prevent injury or fatal falls. No ropes or harness required. About 50 different routes have been set so far, ranging from a few easy ones to some in the 7a to 8a range. Wednesdays are league nights. We climb rock as often as we can, which tends to be often, because there are lots of brilliant climbing sites within an hours drive of Nelspruit, including Waterval Boven, Sabie, Crocodile Gorge, Bundu dome, Malelane Gorge, Gold Rush, London Valley and the Blyde River Canyon generally. The escarpment is hundreds of kilometres long with lots of gorges, waterfalls, sheer cliffs etc. Still lots of virgin rock out there.
Apologie as usual for my odd accent.
