  • If there was such a technology as this now, or in the future it would automatically lock up all of humanity immediately!

  • Ah, so then the real purpose of the polygraph is revealed--to extract a confession! Why am I not surprised? I have heard horror stories of people being intimidated into making false confessions this way. Even rape victims who were made out to be liars as a result of a false positive on a polygraph. It's an atrocious policy! I cannot support such a gross violation of a person's right of non-self-incrimination. It's unfortunate the polygraph hasn't been entirely outlawed.

  • It's different for each State and the laws surrounding it are constantly changing, but it really depends on the judge.

Polygraphs are used in courts as statements of confession. A judge won't rule on said confession unless the examiner giving the test is credible.

It isn't the polygraph that determines a liar - it's the person giving the test that does.

  • I thought a polygraph test was inadmissible as evidence in a court of law. Has this changed?

  • "False positives? Naw! We won't bother concerning ourselves with false positives. That's just the price we pay for keeping everyone safe."

This is some scary shit! The whole foundation of the American legal system is supposed to be that a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Punishment for "pre-crime" would be a grave moral injustice.

  • Some judge somewhere is presented with the "connecting of the dots" on someone and a secret warrant is issued. The dots of course would be someones DNA, their googling history, their purchases, everywhere they've been (tracked through their cellphone GPS, RFID tags, and facial recognition technology), their cellphone conversations, IM's, e-mails, past jobs, religion, race, etc

    Dark ages here we come.

  • I can see pre-crime prisons or concentration camps coming. Their is a glut of humanity waiting to be controlled by the top echelon.

  • The study was about scanning somebody's brain while they picked up a cup for no reason or with the intent to do something with it (clean it or drink tea). It is related to motor acts within a very short period of time. I don't think it works on complex intentions, but who knows what people will try to do with it.

  • I'm working on more themes, it's just that I need to edit alot of what I say so it doesn't drag on - because I'd like my point to get across to people that also have little patience for speeches. I generally leave explanations for the comments section anyway. ^_^

  • good point. i can see myself agreeing with alot of your views. i just finished celebrating 20 year of being in america and i hope to get naturalized before the next presidental election. it's been really good seeing your vidoes and i'd love to keep intouch and just talk. communication is key. hope to be seeing more vidoes like this- cheers.
