Amethyst needed a buddy her age--so I got Sapphire! She's a blue ratty with a crazy splattering of white on her tummy. :)

Sapphire is really sweet and loves to give kisses, but she can definitely hold her own when Amethyst wants to tumble! Near as I can tell they were born within days of each other. (Sapphire's birthday is March 16, 2009)

Note...dim yellow indoor lights do not provide the ideal lighting situation for these videos. You can see her color best (kind of a grayish slate blue) in the still shots.

It's fun to have these two bundles of energetic joy in addition to the grownup ratties. Perla seems to feel a bit motherly towards them, but Diamond's jealous...we'll have to work with her on that. ;)

Music by Kevin MacLeod: "Happy Alley" and "How it begins".

and hey i have a fancy rat called Saphire too (but i spell mine with one p)

and i even made mazes for her and her sister Pinky a few times but mine where out of ancient videos lol!

  • @MsPixilate Hehe awesome. :)

  • sweet video i might want to try building mazes for them like that too.

  • @Darkdestroyer23 The older rats were a bit worried about the legos when I first introduced them to them. I made some mazes with wooden blocks (with the help of my nephews and nieces) for Diamond one day--the kids kept changing the design. She had a blast! I had a hard time holding on to her while they changed it, she was so eager to go again. :D

  • @samirijojo Actually I found out she's not russian Blue, she's just "Blue" (sometimes referred to as American Blue or British Blue). I think all the blues are very pretty. :) Then again, I think all rats are! lol

  • @zoundzy Yes found out at AFRMA she's "blue" (American or British, same gene). A very good Blue for the american standards. :)

  • I've always wanted a russian Blu rat.So pretty

  • Lovely video! :D

(she's a British Blue by the way - not Russian Blue Agouti ;)) She's gorgeous! Looks like she's having so much fun!

    xx
