Portobellos are meaty and delicious. They lend themselves well to grilling and can be served on a bed of grains, with mashed potatoes, or on whole-grain buns with all the trimmings. Portobello mushrooms are a great source of folate, selenium, and zinc

  • shouldn't you normally take the gills out of mushrooms?

  • @92luster They are removed if you do not want the mushroom to color the other food you are cooking with them. The spores from the gills tend to make the food a grayish color. For pan or grill frying, removal is not necessary.
