Regarding the high score on Super Mario Kart that was printed in the Nintendo Power:
Jared's high score shown in the video was for Mario Circuit 2, which was at 1:21:04. According to Twin Galaxies, the current official high score belongs to Robert Garner Jr at 1:34:43.

Which makes Jared's score the fastest in the world by about thirteen seconds. As you've seen here, Jared has expressed interest in going through the motions of sending new, video-taped high scores to Twin Galaxies.
