War in Iraq.The former headquarters for the U.S. central command and for general tommy franks was in Qatar.The tiny sheikhdom on the persian gulf is energy rich and strategically located .

Qatar is also grandly reported when we ran this report for the first time.just before the outbreak of the war.One of the most interesting and progressive country in arab world and one of the american's closet alliance and best friends.

Located on the outskirt of Doha ,the capital of Qatar is a military base called al salhia warehouse facility with a deliberately low profile.More than 1 thousand us troops are stationed here.but you hardly know it.

these flags behind me the flag of Qatar and U.S are the only visible symbols that this base al salhia sits on some of the most strategic realist in the middle east since the end of the Gulf war.U.S has used these pre-fabricated warehouses to store everthing from 听不懂____ to tanks.most of the equipment has now been moved out and into position. this is the former headquarters for the US central command.

This is Al Udeid ,the seond american base in Qatar only a half hour flying time from target in Iraq. Qatars spent 1 billion dollars on its construction on the series if we build it, the americans will come and they did.

Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim is Qatar's foreign minister.
