@Phoenix7878 Correct. Mostly fluid retention hence why so many doubted the head shot from his coffin. The body fluid eased back hence why you see a slimmer face from the famous coffin shot. And yes, still the King.

The screen kinda looks stretched?? Anyways, what we see here is a very human being with A HUGE amount of mileage on his body. Mostly bloated from fluid retention.....not really that fat. Considering the circumstances at this time, it was a concert in true Presley fashion. The KING lives on whether it's 1957 or 1977. That's a fact Jack.

At this stage, Elvis was a dead man walking. His body was completely shot. I don't know how he managed to perform the way he did. And he only used "cheat sheets" for My Way. Elvis was Elvis. I don't believe this has to do so much with your friends dying from substance abuse. This is the very HUMAN TOLL unequalled fame took on Elvis. I WISH I could say I saw this show because it would be one of my most cherished of memories. Don't think he was that loaded for this show anyhow.

One aspect of the Elvis tour life closely associated with Joe Guercio [Elvis' Music Director] is the opening music the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey (Also Sprach Zarathustra) which was his suggestion.
'I'd gone to see the classic sci-fi film in a theatre with my late wife, and when the dramatic music began for the movie, she whispered to me, 'You'd think Elvis was about to enter'. It went on to become a classic opening in itself for the Elvis concerts', he says, rather proudly.
