Starting the Mash at St. James Gate Brewery, Dublin

Part of the Guinness Storehouse visitor center is 'Start the Brew'. About once an hour a volunteer (or a person who accosts the guy running the station several minutes beforehand) is picked to hit the button. The video monitors go live to the brewhouse where a brewmaster counts you down, you hit the button, and you start the brewing process in a building a kilometer or so away.

It may be a relatively small part of the process but I thought it was a cool thing to do and I had a lot of un taking part.
