  • Usually, I just see comments like yours as just an opinion. However, I cannot see your point on this post. I challenge you to show me ANYONE who has this command of this exceptionally difficult piece and interprets it in such convincing fashion.

  • Who is Dao Duc Lam? This player is Shinichi Fukuda. There is no doubt.

This video is very old, but you can still buy it. See the website of "Gendai Guitar". The first piece of this series is Grande Overture by Giuliani.

  • This piece is so magical...

I have got to practice it!

  • Divino !

  • mt bom

  • The theme for the Anime Hellsing yeah!

  • Oh my God, he use Ignacio Fleta !

  • @AmonOfTheSahelijos hi myself from 3 months ago

  • bottle of scotch + classical guitar = things you get arrested for

  • badass.

  • @nmclay same here! I wish he would remake an HD video haha.

  • Every few months, no matter what is happening in my life, I return here to watch this video. I come to marvel at the virtuosity and sheer brilliance. I have been watching this video for over 4 years and still I am moved by his performance. Bravo!

  • wonderfull cover of barrios, but barrios recorded on 78 against the clock and despite a few fluffs and a crummy recording ,its passion and pace hasnt been surpassed

  • @classicalmannick101 Yes, he is playing a Fleta here.

  • i like his corporal expresion. that feeling....

anyway i think andante religioso was played to fast. i dont know, is my opinion. i love it after all ^^

    viva barrios

  • this player has really awesome tone - is his guitar a fleta?

  • 布勞艾:安魂協奏曲 (提獻給福田進一) *亞洲首演

Leo Brouwer(1939- ):Concerto da Requiem, in Memoriam T.Takemitsu II (dedicated to Shin-ichi Fukuda,2005-6) *Asian Premiere /Taiwan

  • One of the most amazing performances ever, at the speed Barrios tried to play it himself, technically perfect, and still with so much feeling... There are no words for this...

  • yeah I know go to Amazon and buy the original score

  • Still the finest version of this piece I've ever heard in the last 20 years or so. Yamashita does some parts of it better, but as a whole, Fukuda's performance is superior.

  • KacanuHa, I totally agree with you. I notice, however, that this version of his the fingering is more playable than that is available on Internet.

Do you know where to get this score version of the music?

  • I actually wrote this for saxophone and then went back in time and gave the sheet music to Bach who told me it sucked so I went forward a bit and gave it to this guy named Barrios. He told me it needed to be polyphonic instead of one note at a time and after some consideration, I agreed. I told him I wouldn't tell anyone in my time about it but I guess I lied. HEHE

  • bello!!

  • Only Williams matches a performance of THIS ALTITUDE! For all those who say it's not good enough - I think you've never played classicl guitar before, otherwise you should know this piece is extremely exhausting for the left hand. I bet noone can match this video. Wonder why... :D

  • SWEET MUSIC

  • este chino toca del carajo XD

  • I will purchase one. Thanks.
