Excerpt from Week of the LifeChurch.tv Series "Margin" with Craig Groeschel.

Sometimes it seems like the only way to keep up with all the demands on our lives is to run at maximum capacity—and then some. But there is another way...one where we have room to breathe and space to respond to what life brings our way.

  • @aclock2 After I read your post,God reminded me of 2Peter 3:9

    "The Lord is not slow in doing what He promised-the way some people understand slowness.But God is being patient with you.He does not want anyone to be lost,but He wants all people to change their hearts and lives."

    2 possibilities;

    1.That something you wanted is in God's will and the 16 yrs was God's timing.

    2.It was not beneficial for u but since u chose & insisted, God let u hav it,.God doesnt force His way.

    God bless you!:)

  • @aclock2 I have served God all my adult life. I've prayed for things and worked hard to achieve what looks like great success. At the autumn of my life, I paradoxically find no joy in these things. I can buy whatever I want and travel on a whim but these are now meaningless. I wonder how God is to answer us when we pray for things that he knows will bring sorrow or drive us from Him? I hope you find a way to reconcile with God. Maybe getting what we want is not good for us. IMHO

  • When I did not have something I really want, a priest said pray to God so one day when he hear you, you will have it. I prayed for 10 years and nothing happened, so I tried to go get it by myself and I finally got it after 6 years of hardwork. I came back to that priest and he said: "God replied to you the moment you decided to get it ". From, my point of view, God gave me nothing but the desperation which lead to the determination that make me successful.

  • my boyfriend tends to sometimes get mad at god when things dont go the way we plan them to. ive never really been sure what to say but i wish he would come to church. i havent really gone either and i know i need to work on that. i do sometimes read my bible and i know i gota do more than that.

  • @nia93johnson Great comment and great verse! I find it true in my life that even though I have little money or stuff left in this life, it is the truth of the Word that is most precious that shows us how to live for Him, thought to thought. The One that is our greatest lover ever has a great plan for us here and that is only the beginning!

  • churches are teaching people that if they dont have alot of money and stuff,then they are living the defeated life. many christians think that more material things indicates how blessed they are. thats why i like matt. 6:33 seek the kingdom of and his rightousness and jesus will give us what nwe need. (paraphase)

  • This is so true
