THE DOLL was an English New Wave combo led by guitarist Marion "Baby Doll" Valentine. Their initial hard-charging singles earned them airplay and a single LP deal, but they disbanded by 1981. "Trash" is the B-Side gem on the "Don't Tango With My Heart" single.

In 1978 was 10 years old and me and my brother wandered into an old disused cinema in Fulham, just along the street from the Beggar Banquet shop and offices. Inside The Doll were rehearsing... we recognized them from Top of The Pops. We spent the afternoon hanging out, and even got to muck about on the drum kit. Our mum came down to pick us up at teatime. I bought all their singles after that... thought they were great, especially the 12 inch version of Desire Me.
