@jdw1066 Mmm, not sure. Different from, yeah, better than, maybe not. For Bob Marley, this song was not just some cowboy fantasy. Jamaica in the 60s and 70s and 80s was riddled with gang warfare and gun crime and indeed Marley himself got shot; Peter Tosh, his old bandmate, was shot dead. For Clapton, this is just a rich white rock star dabbling in reggae. I like this, but it's more throwaway than the Wailers' version. But then I don't much like Clapton's output between 1968 and 2003 or so.

@moleboythedrummer100 You'd be surprised how older music is picking up steam in popularity. When I was a teen in the 90s, it was COMPLETELY uncool to like oldies, but I liked old music (20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, some 70s) anyway, so I know where you're coming from.

@jbird7207 i LOVE the isley bros!!!!!

What a pleasant memory jolt. Clapton's version of this song always reminds me of one of my absolute favorite summers (1974). I spent it at the beach, with the radio always on.
