@HALE2daKINGbaby squirrels get 'mean' because they want to be free, they have a strong mating instinct and want to go have babies, it's the quest for squirrel immortality, they will still come back to be friends though, get some grub, they also need water in the wild, there is not alot of good places for clean drinking water. If you just keep a bowl of water out, or a birdbath, alot of animals will come just for the water.

My friend gowing up raised one that feel out of a tree. It was really nice and cute and eventually got mean towards males. After some time later it got aggresive towards his wife and females so everyone stopping allowing it to be on their shoulders. For a very long time he would come, hangout, eat and then take off to be with his friends in the trees. He just wanted to be in the wild is all I think that it was.

we found the squirrel when my husband cut down a tree. the bottom was hollow with the nest of squirrels inside. We fed her by hand and played with her to make her tame. Pet squirrels are not allowed in many states b/c of rabies fear.

She is about 4 months old. We found her when she was 1 week old. We fed her with a syringe. Yes, we still have her. She goes outside but will not run away. She loves to climb up the bricks on our house!
