  • I used to take my Sega SG-1000 to my friends house. He would play that and I would play this. What ever happened to friends like that?

  • @floppylobster2 In this era, I used to borrow a MSX and give my Spectrum in exchange, to play the unique titles... Nowadays we would exchange a X360 for a PS3 :)

  • That parallax scrolling really was cutting edge back then. I played this quite a bit, it was great visually, but average playability wise. Still fondly remembered though.

  • It´s strange, but i simply love this game. I think it´s relaxing, and I don´t consider the playability hard. The nostalgic feelings, sending me back to the 80´s, Priceless!! :P

  • For "million" of years search this game, from my far childhood...greattings from Argentina

  • Lol the drgaon looks like a dork compared to the Amstrad or spectrum version. Plays faster though.

  • the falling rocks bit was dumb i could never get passed it

  • I used to hate this game when I was younger, but only because I sucked at it.

  • I'm going to download a speccy emulator to play this soon. I can still remember being blown away on discovering the range of baddies to fight, like the well-animated leapords/pumas or whatever big cats they were supposed to be, guarding the castle.

Also, if you like this, I *highly* recommend Shadow of the Colossus on PS2. Similar epic feel with much relaxing scenery to traverse, only this time you're tiny and the enemies are huuuuuuuge. Peace.

  • Ahh this was a great idea for a game and Mike Richardson the guy who wrote it is a genius. It was done on the Spectrum first then ported over. I worked for Durell Software back then and we were quite a player in those days releasing stuff for most home PC's... very fond memories...
