Transforming Lives Video Montage Part 2

Video montage Part 2 is a collection of BIS funded Transforming Lives projects. The Transformation Fund awarded grants totalling £20m to over 300 projects pioneering informal adult learning across England. The projects, led mostly by partnerships between public, private and voluntary and community sector organisations, aimed to help improve mental health, physical well-being, active citizenship and community cohesion. Projects included activities which:

encouraged more and different people into informal learning, particularly people from disadvantaged groups
opened up access to learning in new places, in new ways and at more flexible times
supported people to set up self-organised groups and learning clubs
widened choice, by developing and sharing innovative materials, activities and good practice guidance to improve teaching and learning
built partnerships and strengthened the capacity of informal adult learning organisations
improved connections and progression between different kinds of learning
made better use of broadcasting and technology to stimulate and support learning.
