Providence & Worcester Railroad WX-2 departs Worcester northbound to Gardner, Mass, to interchange with Pan Am Railways. Power today is all General Electric power: ex-BNSF B40-8W #582 and B30-7AB #3006 on the front, with #582's sister #562 on the rear. The sky is clear except for fast-moving clouds driven by the strong winds, and the day is cool. A perfect day for post-commute railfanning! (except for the wind noise, sorry about that!)

  • Lol love the patch job on the ex-BNSF unit!

  • @traindude109 Sketchy, huh? You should've seen the one on the unit that came in faded Warbonnet colors! (Google "providence & worcester 4005" as YouTube won't let me put links in comments)

  • @TrainManTy Oh wow that thing is pink! Another good one was the Lake County Railroad that operates the old Southern Pacific Lakeview Branch had an old BNSF B23-7 they used. The patch job over the BNSF logo on the front and the BNSF lettering on both sides of the unit was a strip of duct tape.

  • @traindude109 Just found a photo of that...wow. That's a new low.
