A short animation peice that i made for my project based on an elderly mans memory of his youth, when he was evacuated during the war. Its influenced by the style of William Kentridge with the use of charcoal. Feel free to leave comments.

  • This is pretty cool, you must have used really high grade paper?

  • @maxtopherchriswell Thanks! I actually only used standard A2 paper that uni supplied, the charcoal was pretty delicate so it didn't really wear it out haha.

  • So refreshing to see animation done with something besides cels and flat colors! Kudos to taking the National Film Board of Canada approach and making the medium as much as a part of the film as the content!

  • this is amazing! have you got a facebook or email? I'd like to chat to you about doing some work for my band if you're interested
