  • I haven't celebrated Christmas for 20 years and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's just another day for me. Let everyone else live their delusional fantasy while bitching about it the whole time. No thank you.

  • I agree! I am all about celebrating this time of year. After all we are human and celebrations are fun! Everything about this time of year is anti-Xtian except the name. The funny thing about it is most Xtians are ignorant of this. They do not even know that the Bible specifically warns against cutting a tree down and decorating it!LOL!

    Jeremiah 10:2-4

I like to send out cards with this verse and a picture of my decorated tree!

  • welll enough ramblings, just don't want to see any possible support I find, to fail or lackk help where I find a few things come to mind

sigh, godspeed, sad too think of another generation raised on such a tormented mind trap

  • no its a great analysis to what those 3 months ment then and today

so many misfortunate events, wasted lives for lack of heating supplies

most days that school is possible to be called off

we need time to free our minds, to break the ice of those neighbors walking the dog

schools should be open still but perhaps non-mandatory

open social halls for all the youth an other guest visitors in exchange of culture ideas or new news

  • Mr Flynn,

I think perhaps your the type of person who's feeling good at celebrating that time of year, by smothering their flames warmth by belittling their lack of time in scholary research on whats only been happy memories of their family days as a youth, being re-discovered again

if I had to play Doctor for the day with ya 8)

well good luck on the new position, I lack membership funds, hard enough to find the funs to go on

    Take Care

  • your answering why the church did what it did...

they couldnt uproot the deeply engrained traditions, so they authored itself into the story

remember your trying what the church once tried, an its failed more than once, over time.

Seriously if we find a logical alogarythm to inject into their minds through a progression of words to say for them to hear.

we have nothing to worry about, taken the month off, when its hardest to progress anyways through out that season.

    3 months off

  • its in the spin

you don't want to fuel them, true

but if religion was that easy of a coercen to snuff out. It would have been by now, thing is with most of the findings I came across

its a fire that fuels itself

avoiding it, they'll hve more fuel to say look how drab and no reason to celebrate

best is to use it as a time to reflect on how far we came through out all the history an lore we've managed to keep

    Take Care

    JC

exactly, need to keep it a reminder to how seflish itis

  • Wouldnt it show more of the wolf in sheeps clothing, that religion tried hijacking by 'piggy' backing. e.g. halloween, tired of them saying 'atonement', spring covering up the bunny a 'creator' story before jesus gods creator formed...

    Peace

    JC

  • Christmas is about one thing--presents. Don't celebrate christmas if you want, but if you have kids try getting away with not getting them stuff. I downplayed the holiday this year and didn't a get a tree or have a nice diner. The kids didn't mind cuz they got their shit.

  • I know one Walmart employee who would be alive today if it wasn't for Christmas lunacy.
