ahhhh! just noticed the cut in the footage at 31:00. music sounds like Doc Martin on valium!
-
definitely for real! I used to work at the Bookers warehouse in Livingston and that is the long building on left edge of frame at 7:00. the planes approach from the west when the wind blows off the north sea [east]. usually ithe winds are south westerly.
didn't realise how soon they land after flying over livingston.

I needed the music as much as I need a third nostril!

everything is cool but the music is redundant

Great memories! some years ago I landed at Edinburgh every Monday morning (on a BA Embrear 145 from Southampton) for 48 consecutive weeks! (having done the opposite on fri evening) I was working on the waste treatment plant just short of runway 24. if you look carefully to the left as you approach the threshold you will see what appears to be a golf ball, this is in fact a 6metre diameter gas storage bag which contains a gas with the worst smell in the world.

but very good video Thanks:)

horrible horrible music:-((

How long have you been a pilot, are you co or capt?
-
@tishan11 Yes.. Its more than long enough to take down 747 and also let it take off.. but not at MTOW. then the 747-400 needs at minimum right under 10000 ft. ER needs a little longer than 10000 at MTOW :)

Hi Tishan, are there any exercises or activities that allow me to master the essence of a good scan pattern?
MacartoChan 1 year ago
@MacartoChan Well with Glass Cockpits and Speedtapes, it makes life a lot easier ! Just scan across from the IAS --> AI --> IVSI & I personally incorporate the N1 into the start of that scan too. The IVSI is an invaluable tool !

wow, may I ask seeing that you are a pilot, is the runway long enough at Edinburgh, you don't want your poor plane to overshoot the runway lol???

Edinburgh is certainly long enough for most Large Ariliners, it can even accomodate a 747 if need be :) not 100%sure about a 747 at MTOW tho !
