The Kenya Police tops the list of public institutions that do not respond to complaints raised by the public. In its quarterly report, the public complaints standing committee says most public institution act indifferently, when addressing queries by the public. According to the latest report, the relevant ministries and public institutions have successfully addressed only 22% of complaints made.

  • A person who becomes an ombudsman needs to possess an elaborate profile. We do not know who this is, what he stands for, and why he is the best for this position. But why do I feel he will be replaced by someone from the next President's community??? Githeri, wake up!!!

  • I agree. The so called government officials can do better job to address this issue. How long are kenyans going to continue thieving? This is very sad.

  • Githeribila, there are two positions we totally do not need: That of Mutua and of this guy. If you want to know an ombudsman is of no use, just wait. An ombudsman can only hold the government to account if he is not a friend of the state. This guy is a simple appointee. As to where he comes from, it is not an issue to you as long as he comes from the same place as you. You are under the illusion that 'he is a Kenyan, and oh, he is qualified.' How do we know he is the best when he's just appointd

  • rabet03,you are ignorant to the extreme. What does where he comes from have to do with anything?of what use is he to Kenyans? he is the Ombudsman, look that up in the dictionary. And yes,IT DOES HELP EVERYONE,because it addresses the issue of impunity within government organizations.

  • freegas to change thievery, a govment need to adress poverty raise the standard of living and give people jobs so they are not becaming creative on thuggery.

  • Its important that we know where he comes from, his potentials, and of what use he may be to Kenyans. I hope the story wont begin from his father, sister, connections bla bla bla. This doesnt help anyone

  • Sorry. But who is this? Where is he from? Who appointed him? And for what purpose? Can someone tell us about his CV? Where did he go to school? What qualifications does he have...before we comment.

  • it's sad when kenyan way of life is centered on thieving...
