"New York City" - Jeff Jones

Jeff Jones performs his song "New York City" live at the Palace Theater in Syracuse,NY. The song was written September 13th 2001 in the wake of the World Trade Center attack. It's not so much a song about the attack,the people who lost thier lives or the heros who rushed into the building and lost thier lives attempting to rescue those trapped inside the buildings but it's a song about how I immediately felt in those first dark days following the event. There were so many questions about where this would lead our nation and where it would lead me personally...I was on one of the greatest adventures of my life and it abruptly came to a halt.
