  • ghost in the shell is epic shit :) hot story hot music^^

  • This song always made me miss playing the violin!!!

  • @Videogamestwin their Budgets are comparable XD

  • After seeing this movie end with this as the credits, I gotta say I'm disappointed there isn't an American version that ends with it instead of "One Minute Warning".

  • @Videogamestwin but still both are more epic then anything.

  • @MInuhanyouM

Terminator did influenced Shirow as did Akira and Blade Runner influenced the manga. GITS did influence many movies besides Matrix such as The Island, Minority Report, and so much more. Even anime has inspired many filmmakers like James Cameron, Spielberg, Guillermo Del Toro and others.

  • @DairDubh

    Don't forget Philip K. Dick.

  • @Johnlindsey289 the wachowski bros did explicitly state this as one of their inspirations yeah..and forgive me for being a bit crass, but i'm sure Terminator Inspired Shirow in atleast a minuscule way

  • @Johnlindsey289

The father of the genre is usually thought to be William Gibson (in the west anyway). Other major influences include the writings of Hofstadter and Baudrillard.

  • I adored this movie since i was 14 in 1996 after being blown away by Akira and i bought this movie at one of the mall's in Albuquerque which is an hour away from my town of Socorro. This blew my mind away including amazed by Kusanagi's body at that age though her face could have been better like the cutie Kusangi in the manga and TV show.
