I paid $450 3 years ago for my 84fs here in Texas. You must have bought this at a gun shop. If you go to the gun shows there's a lot more competition so pricing is more competitive.

The Beretta is a very well made gun. I always regretted getting rid of my 92 15 yrs ago.The only Beretta I won't recommend is the 21A .22 auto.I kept it in my pocket for years during summer months but realized how picky it was with ammo.I always used Federal HP with no problem but anything else would misfire like crazy.The bigger problem is no extractor to clear the round. You have to pop up the barrel and either pull the round out with your finger nails or poke it out from the muzzle.Nice 84.
