I met with him last week-end. He said he can only see light or darkness. He used to see more, but his case is degenerative, so he sees less and less with time. It was really amazing for me to see this man being blind and yet enthusiastic about life and magic.

"legally blind" means something someone with 20/20 vision can see at 200 ft clearly, to see it at the same level with glasses, a legally blind person needs to be 20ft away. However, Richard Turner is 4 times worse than that minimum requirement. He can pretty much see general shapes. Mabye just shadows even.

Why does everybody use the term ´legally´ when they describe this guy´s blindness? Makes me wonder...

He is an amazingly godly man. I love his son Asa. he goes to my school, cornerstone. Thats his son, Asa, there when he was little. We are in sixth grade now.

He looks like such a nice guy! HE MAKES SURE EVERYONE CAN SEE THE CARDS (TELLS PEOPLE IN BACK TO STAND AN MOVE CLOSER), he makes sure everyone can see... Yet he can barely use sight, amazing really...
