And while this sailor's comments may appear compelling to those opposing these wars, his comments do not reflect the public and internal debates of the US government in determining which policies to pursue. Put it this way, if you are opposed to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, there are plenty of videos on Youtube to stoke that opposition. Just like there are plenty others in support of these wars.

@tuz345 It doesn't matter what my view is. Just like it doesn't matter what this guy's view is. We can have our own opinions as to the validity or goodness of any war. BUT the bottom line is, as a soldier, sailor, airman, marine, or coast guardsman, our job is to fight the war, not determine whether it is right or wrong. We in the military are an instrument for enforcing national policy. That's it. And the truth is that any comments by any servicemember like this sailor is limited. (con't)

This video maybe doctored, but the view of active duty service members is overwhelmingly that we are not defending America, we are policing other countries.We are doing more harm to our national security by staying, then leaving.

@rockit730 So what is your view on these wars? Do they all truly have a just cause? He is not the only soldier to say these things. I have seen numerous and much more compelling videos of former marines and army veterans claiming these same things. I really doubt it is propaganda as well, as these videos are never shown on mainstream media.
