A montage of flim clips about the Cultural Revolution. The newspaper article titled "Guanyu Jianguo Yilai Dang de Ruogan Lishi Wenti de Jueyi" was written 1981 under Deng Xiaoping
as an epitaph for the Cultural Revolution, condemning it deeply. Translation & Interpretation by Youtuber Shifodingju.

  • Due to the revolution much of china's old wisdom and knowledge was lost, and ultimatetly China is still suffering chasing the ideals of western civilisation, but you could say that Moa saved china from the foreign powers trying to seize the entire orient and you could say this was needed in order to save China's traditions.

  • I disagree about the loss of China's old heritage. In China today you can find little evidence anywhere of the Cultural Revolution. The impact was exaggerated greatly by American media led by Henry Luce (Time & Life publisher). Chairman Mao himself told Henry Kissinger in one of their secret meetings that the Cultural Revolution had only affected a "few suburbs of Beijing."

  • Mao Zedong had a reason to fear that the Capitalistic Reactionaries would try to overthrow the Revolution!! They are currently working on making China a capitalist nation again!

  • I second that!! China unite!! All other communist countries unite!! drive off the yoke of the western rich slave-owners that subjugate their own people!!

  • America hired deng xiao peng to manage slave labor for USA corporations.

  • whether it was worth that amount of death and suffering being visited on one country is debatable

  • There's a HUGE difference between the two Koreas: capitalist Korea does NOT have an ambargo to contend with and it's because of this that living standards in the North are relatively lower.

How about comparing North Korea with Bangladesh or Pakistan, or Cuba with Brazil and Mexico and see how bad the capitalists start to look.

  • There is no real equality in China. The majority of people are peasants and the peasants are poor. How is that equal? How is that equal when you have rich people in government such as the CCP and then poor peasants? I have 3 friends that went to China for business and said that the peasant class is severely poor. And what PURE communist country has really prospered? Look at the difference in the quality of life in North (Communist) Korea and South (capitalist) Korea.

  • not brainwashed, we heard about it in history and it is always insulted so i decided to hear its side of the arguement, after seeing the pros and cons of both Communism and capitalism i chose the fair one: COMMUNISM
